Underwater Robotics SPEED Team
Design and fabricate from the ground up a Submersible Autonomous Underwater Vehicle to perform underwater functions and participate in the MATE-ROV competition with the goal of attending RoboSub in the future.
The Human Powered Vehicle Competition Team is a part of our SPEED program (Student Projects for Engineering Experience and Design). SPEED is a 100% student-run and managed team that consists of 15-20 students from engineering programs and other majors across the university, working together to solve a specific hands-on challenge.
About Underwater Robotics
We build Underwater unmanned robots to take to international competitions. Our purpose is to develop skills and learning techniques outside of what is taught in class. We work with electrical hardware, physical design and building, and machine vision.
