Partnerships for a Sustainable Future

At Clarkson, we form partnerships and forge connections across academic fields, helping to spur innovation and create solutions to challenging real-world problems.

Center for Advanced Materials Processing (CAMP)

CAMP is a research center that consists of Clarkson University faculty whose expertise in materials science and processing supports companies interested in understanding and implementing state-of-the-art, advanced, tailor-designed materials and processes to improve products, solve manufacturing challenges, increase yield, lower cost and foster innovation.

Center for Air and Aquatic Resources Engineering and Sciences (CAARES)

CAARES strives to understand the sources, transport and chemistry that give rise to indoor and outdoor exposure to air pollutants, including noise, their potential health and welfare effects and ways in which these effects can be reduced or eliminated. CAARES brings together world-class expertise focused on air sampling and analysis, receptor modeling, atmospheric deposition and the application of computational fluid dynamics to air pollution problems.

NYS Center of Excellence in Healthy Water Solutions

The NYS Center generates solutions that help protect and improve waters for sustainable natural environments, healthy populations, resilient communities and sound economies. A joint project with the SUNY College of Environmental Science & Forestry (ESF), the Center works to solve problems on the wide range of water issues impacting the Empire State.

Institute for a Sustainable Environment (ISE)

Our department partners with Clarkson’s cross-disciplinary research hub, the Institute for a Sustainable Environment. Faculty and students work on a variety of campus, community, and international sustainability projects and have received national accolades for projects ranging from electric snowmobiles to a high-tech campus greenhouse.

Institute for STEM Education (STEM Ed)

Clarkson's Institute for STEM Education supports the next generation of problem solvers in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). STEM Ed aims to establish Clarkson University as a national leader in student achievement, exemplary pedagogy and K-12 outreach. Our faculty and staff support students in their transition into college, during their college career and postgraduation. We support America's future STEM workforce in collaboration with everyone from public school districts to industry partners.
