What Is Special About Civil and Environmental Engineering at Clarkson?
Our Programs
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering oversees rigorous majors, minors and concentrations for a wide range of undergraduate students, as well as master’s and PhD programs at multiple locations. We also manage an advanced Certificate in Construction Engineering Management.
Our Faculty
Led by our faculty, our students’ research aims to overcome real-world challenges, such as mitigating adverse human health effects caused by PFAS, designing innovative structural foundations in permafrost regions and treating Clarkson’s diverted food waste stream with an on-campus anaerobic digester. Our department is dedicated to the building and preservation of the world around us – and we encourage you to be too.
Our Students
Our students are dedicated, hard-working and innovative. They work closely with our world-class faculty on incredible projects, such as an integrated greenhouse, wood-pellet heating and an anaerobic digestion system for our on-campus energy-efficient food and waste management facility.
