We Are America's Corporate Partner University

A Center of Graduate Education and Partnerships in New York's Capital Region

Success is a continuous journey. You build experience, acquire credentials and take part in projects that enhance your résumé. In looking toward the next stage, certificate programs and/or a research-based or professional master’s or doctoral degree can form the bridge toward new opportunities, more responsibilities and a leadership role.

Close to many industries that rely on Clarkson's research and educational opportunities for employees, the Capital Region Campus is the headquarters for the Office of Graduate Admissions, which also supports graduate enrollment at the main campus in Potsdam, and offers both in-person and hybrid graduate and certificate programs. Just a few blocks from downtown Schenectady, it also is a home base for numerous professional staff for administrative departments and the host location for many alumni, corporate government and K-12 collaborations.

About the Capital Region Campus

Clarkson established its Capital Region Campus after acquiring Union Graduate College in 2016. This move expanded the number of graduate opportunities extended to working professionals and allowed us to create another key location for maintaining relationships with corporate partners and alumni.

Graduate and Professional Education

In certain industries, a graduate credential isn’t just an asset — it’s essential for getting ahead. The Capital Region Campus houses our graduate and professional programs in select healthcare, engineering and business programs. Both in-person and online programs are administered through this location, as well as at the main Potsdam campus.

Graduate Admissions

Our graduate admissions and recruiting staff are based out of the Capital Region Campus.

Corporate Partnerships and Networking

Just 15 minutes from the state capitol in Albany, the area’s hub of business, commerce, culture and politics, the Capital Region Campus is situated near some of Clarkson’s corporate partners for research, graduate education and talent development. This closeness strengthens our collaborative relationships and helps with extending education and networking opportunities to area professionals.
