Biography
Catherine Sajna has been at Clarkson University on a part-time basis since 2012 and full-time since 2019. She now wears several hats at Clarkson supporting graduate and undergraduate students in their writing through the Writing Center, the ESL program and micro credentialing. Before coming to Potsdam, she was an Assistant Professor of ESL at Hawaii Pacific University for over 10 years. In Hawaii, she taught linguistics and ESL teaching methods to both grads and undergrads. For over 40 years, she has taught ESL language skills from beginning through advanced levels, particularly focused on writing and vocabulary development. She has also worked as a grant writer. Although she spent 30 years in the sub-tropics, she now loves living in the four seasons, and especially loves the snow.
