Clarkson University Hosting NYSSPA Advocacy Day June 19
Clarkson University invites Physician Assistants and healthcare providers from across the North Country and New York to gather on campus for New York State Society of PAs (NYSSPA) Advocacy Day on Thursday, June 19 beginning at 9 a.m.

NYSSPA Advocacy Day educates PAs, PA students, employers, administrators, and legislators on the laws regarding PA practice, opportunities for professional growth as well as overcoming barriers that impede PAs working to the top of their license. The event will also offer PAs an opportunity to learn about mental health and substance use disorder and solutions in our region, review billing and coding best practice for PA services, and network with employers on utilization and hiring of PAs.
The event offers PAs six hours of Category 1 Continuing Medical Education (CME), and features several speakers, including Maureen Regan, President-elect of NYSSPA, NYSSPA Adirondack Director and Legislative Chair Kevin Bolan, and Senior Director in the Coding, Compliance, and Operational Excellence at VMG Health, Debra Rossi. Additionally, the conference will offer roundtables on utilization of PAs, mental health, and substance use. A reception will be held at the Cactus Grill and Cantina in Potsdam following the event.
NYSSPA Advocacy Day will be held in Clarkson University’s Schuler Educational Resources Center (ERC) on the Collins Hill Campus in Potsdam. Registrations by May 31 are appreciated and qualify for the early discount.. Clarkson alumni who also plan to join Reunion Weekend activities that begin on June 20 are encouraged to register for this NYSSPA event that is included on that Reunion form to avoid duplicate registration.
