Biography
How do we mentally travel through time to revisit past experiences or imagine future events? And how is technology reshaping the way we remember as we age? My research explores these questions by examining memory processes across the lifespan. I am particularly interested in mental time travel — the ability to reflect on the past and project ourselves into the future — and how it influences decision-making. I also study autobiographical memories and the factors that shape how we construct and recall our life stories. Additionally, I investigate how technology affects memory formation and recall in younger and older adults. Through my work, I aim to deepen our understanding of how memory functions across different stages of life and its impact on our choices and sense of self.

Research Interests
My research focuses on understanding memory processes across the lifespan, with a particular emphasis on mental time travel — the ability to mentally revisit past experiences and envision future events. I am especially interested in how these cognitive processes influence decision-making. By investigating the mechanisms underlying autobiographical memory, I aim to uncover how individuals construct and recall their personal life stories. This line of research also examines the factors that shape memory accuracy and the emotional impact of remembered experiences. By exploring how memory guides future thinking, I seek to better understand the role of memory in forming a coherent sense of self and influencing life choices.
In addition to studying the cognitive and emotional aspects of memory, I investigate how technology influences memory formation and recall across different stages of life. As digital devices become increasingly integrated into daily life, they alter how we store, retrieve, and interpret personal experiences. My research examines these effects in both younger and older adults, exploring how reliance on technology may support or hinder memory processes. By considering age-related differences, I aim to contribute to a deeper understanding of how memory evolves over time.
