The Clarkson Advanced Certificate in Power Systems Engineering is a graduate level program that covers both the equipment and systems aspects of power engineering in its curriculum. The courses are taught by a dedicated set of power engineering faculty.
This certificate program provides practicing power engineers an avenue for advancing their knowledge and technical skills in their discipline. They can complete the certificate in one year by taking one course per quarter.
Students can elect to continue their graduate education and pursue Clarkson's Master of Science in Electrical Engineering as a member of Clarkson’s Distance Part Time MS cohort program.
Power Systems Engineering Curriculum
The Clarkson University Advanced Certificate in Power Systems Engineering requires 12 credits of graduate-level electric power engineering courses. The certificate program is designed to provide practicing engineers with advanced capability in the power system area. The course offerings allow students to select coursework that will best fit their interests and needs. These courses can be applied to a master’s degree program if the student desires to do so.
