Clarkson University Invites Local Business Community to NSF Innovation-Corps Program
Clarkson University invites innovators, entrepreneurs, and researchers wishing to launch new products or businesses to learn about the National Science Foundation Innovation-Corps program (NSF I-Corps) at two upcoming information sessions.
These sessions will provide an opportunity to learn about the benefits of participating in the upcoming NSF I-Corps regional program hosted by Clarkson, and how to get involved.
Information sessions will take place on Wednesday, April 17, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Adirondack Lodge on Clarkson’s Collins Hill Campus in Potsdam and on Tuesday, April 23, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Best Western University Inn in Canton. Attendees are invited to arrive at any time and stay as long as they wish.
The regional NSF I-Corps program hosted by Clarkson will begin in July and aims to facilitate early connections between entrepreneurs, and potential customers to explore the commercial viability of their ideas, which ultimately increases the likelihood of success when launching new products or ventures.
Participants will receive guidance from experienced I-Corps instructors and will undertake a series of 20 customer discovery interviews as part of this regional I-Corps program.
Select teams may qualify for the national I-Corps program, which comes with a grant of up to $50,000, and requires 100 customer interviews.
