Clarkson University Hosts Book Launch Exploring Startup Scaling Strategies

Clarkson University will host the launch of A Research Agenda for Startups' Scale-Up, Scale Down and Re-Scaling Strategies on Thursday, Nov. 6, at 8:15 a.m. in Snell Hall, Room 214, at the Reh School of Business.

The book is co-edited by Christian Felzensztein, Professor of Entrepreneurship and Reh Family Endowed Chair in Entrepreneurial Leadership at Clarkson University; Afsaneh Bagheri from the University of Lincoln in the United Kingdom; and Christian Lechner, Professor and Director of the Department of Business and Management at Luiss University in Rome, Italy.

The volume explores how startups navigate the challenges of scaling up, scaling down, and re-scaling in dynamic markets. It integrates international perspectives on strategic foundations, sustainable scaling, and the use of artificial intelligence in growth management.

The event will feature discussions with experts from the U.S. and Europe on topics such as “What is Startups’ Scale-Up?”, “The Role of Technology in Scaling Across Contexts,” and “Sustainability’s Impact on Growth Strategies.”

Entrepreneurs, policymakers, and members of the public are invited to attend this free session highlighting Clarkson’s leadership in entrepreneurship research and its global collaboration in advancing startup innovation.
