Although I have not been trained to "teach" composition, I have been a life-long writer and a journalist and communicator by profession. My strengths include invention and development, and I admit that most of our tutors are far better than I am at recalling from memory grammar rules (so you will catch me listening in on conferences to learn from them!). There is something really gratifying about working with students to transfer what they have learned, and what they are thinking both creatively and critically, on to paper.

I'm from a small, quirky town, Voorheesville, near Albany.  I'm a dual-major in Environmental Engineering and Political Science, and look forward to making a difference in U.S. environmental policy.  I enjoy running and am currently training for my first marathon (so wish me luck!).

Eight weeks in China doing research really polished my communication skills. Each experiment required a lot of communication among our lab group, but it was fun. I'm from Burnt Hills, NY, and love hiking, skiing, and running. I also draw and read when I have time. A mechanical engineering and physics major, I'm eager to help any writer with any type of paper!
