Wellness Center

At Clarkson University, the Wellness Staff is dedicated to helping individuals discover the maximum potential they possess and are capable of maintaining through Experiential Learning Theories by using a positive approach to enhance learning by helping to reduce health-related barriers to academic success. The Wellness Staff conducts activities that encourage thinking and stepping out of the box and relating these emotional states to the tasks and environment the individuals interact with.  The overall outcome is to use active participation in these activities to help individuals develop a sense of awareness during decision making to encourage a happier, healthier existence.


Building a healthier student contributes significantly to a more productive academic career.  The Clarkson Wellness Center wants to make students aware that wellness should be a conscious decision to build a healthy life-style.  Therefore, maintaining a balance of mind, body and spirit will result in an overall feeling of well being. 

Personal responsibility is the first step in the path of good health.  Wellness is the healthy balance of being physically, mentally and emotionally well within all environments.  A wellness mindset will guard you from temptation to make excuses, blame someone else for your mistakes and avoid responsibilities.  Clarkson University’s Wellness Program is designed to help all aspects of good health including exercise, nutrition, emotional stability, stress management, and relationships.
