Major: Electrical Engineering

Q: Why did you choose Clarkson?
A: I applied Clarkson because Clarkson is a great engineering school. I enjoy the climate as well as the rural atmosphere of the surrounding community.

Q: How did you get involved with FIRST Robotics?
A: During an open house, I had the opportunity to talk to Prof. James Carroll. He asked if I was interested in building robots. As it turns out, this was my dream job. He introduced me to the FIRST Robotics team and helped me join.

Q: What is your guilty pleasure?

A: I play games before exams!

Q: How does FIRST Robotics relate to your areas of study?
A: I was able to apply the skills that I learned in my programming class as well as the wiring of the robot and its circuitry relate directly to my major.

Q: What are you hoping to gain from your summer with FIRST Robotics?
A: I want to build something on my own and gain more experience as a leader while participating in team activities.

Q: If you could reincarnate as any animal, what would it be and why?
A:  I would like to become dolphin. They are smart, kind, and free to swim in the ocean.

Q: What is the best aspect about being a part of FIRST Robotics?
A: I like the idea of building robots from many dead pieces and having them come alive. If it breaks down, I still can fix them and make it come alive again.

Q: What other unique experiences have you had at Clarkson?
A: I was the Activity Chair of SASE (Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers), and I will be the secretary in the coming semester. I am also a member of EWB (Engineers Without Borders), where we currently working on finding ways to introduce plants to some of the wetlands in Ecuador.

Q: What are your goals for the future?
A: I want to build and create something impactful for society, hopefully making people happy and bringing some additional conveniences to their lives.
