Join Jim Carroll, professor of electrical and computer engineering at Clarkson University and director of the Northern New York Robotics Academy, for an action-packed week of robotics!
This year, participants will experience the world of robotics while working in small teams to brainstorm a solution to an all new Minecraft-inspired challenge featuring your favorite “mob” friends. Each team will build, program and test their Challenge solutions throughout the week, and the experience will culminate with teams competing with their robots in an action-packed tournament.
Students will utilize LEGO MINDSTORMS kits, NXT Intelligent Bricks and LEGO NXT or National Instruments LabVIEW for LEGO MINDSTORMS software to develop their robots, as well as discover how the Challenge field pieces are made using 3D printers.
A minimum of 15 students are needed to run each section (limited to 48 students each).
