Due to the extraordinary demands of time and effort on students, the PA program strongly recommends that students do not work while in the program. We want you to take advantage of your limited time off to balance your academic life with rest, recreation, friends, and family.
In the clinical phase of the program, schedules, call back days, and testing may not conform to the University schedule. Call, weekend, and night hours are also possible, making work a challenge.
Also, you may not be employed in any manner by a preceptor or affiliated practice while you are a student. You may not receive any compensation for services provided as a student of the program.
Attendance at all classes is mandatory, and no accommodations can or will be made for student work schedules. Classes, testing, clinical rotations or any other program related activity missed due to employment will be considered unexcused.
