Mr. Young is from Cicero, NY.  Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant 15 years ago, Mr. Young was a Respiratory Therapist and Paramedic.  He received his PA training at Essex Community College in Baltimore, MD and his Master’s degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.  He is currently completing his Doctor of Health Science at AT Still University. 

Mr. Young worked as a Family Practice PA in his hometown prior to relocating to the Canton-Potsdam area.  His academic experience started prior to becoming a PA.  He has experience teaching respiratory therapy and paramedic courses.  Since obtaining his PA credentials Mr. Young has been a clinical preceptor for 3 programs and an Adjunct Instructor for the LeMoyne College PA program for 13 years.  He has lectured in areas of interest including pediatrics, cardiology and pulmonology.  He enjoys being a Problem Based Learning facilitator and teaching in the Physical Diagnosis Lab.

Mr. Young lives with his family in the Canton-Potsdam area.  They enjoy traveling and camping and look forward to camping in the Adirondacks more.

Mr. Young’s mantra for being a safe practitioner of medicine is to “know what you know and know it well – know what you don’t know – what you don’t know, know where to find the answer.”  This is the philosophy he hopes to instill in his students.
