Biography

Evan Brooksby is a graduate of the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He was self-employed in New York’s capital district for 20 years in various business endeavors. In 2011 he earned his Master of Business Administration in Healthcare at Union Graduate College in Schenectady, NY. Post-graduation, he worked at Albany Medical Center, where he supported several projects, including the certification of 4 practice sites as NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Homes and hypertension quality improvement. He was the Deputy Director of the Center for Health Systems Transformation at Albany Medical Center Hospital (Better Health for Northeastern New York (BHNNY)). He led the AMCH Delivery System Redesign Incentive Payment (DSRIP) program in Albany, Saratoga, Warren, Columbia, and Greene Counties. He joined the Healthcare Association of New York State in March of 2016 as Director of Policy, Analysis & Special Projects. He led the HANYS Statewide DSRIP Executive Leadership group working with healthcare systems across the state and the Department of Health on DSRIP and the transition to value-based payment, population health, workforce, and other policy initiatives. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and participates in the LGBTQ Healthcare Leaders Community. He has been an adjunct instructor at Clarkson University Capital Region Campus since 2017. He presents on topics related to delivery system redesign, workforce, population health, and the transition to Value-Based Payments. He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Hometown Health Centers, a Federally Qualified Health Center in Schenectady, New York. He is the father of 4, an instrument-rated private pilot, and has competed internationally in barbershop choruses and quartets.
