New Foreign Language Teaching Certification for Elementary Schools Available at Clarkson University Capital Region Campus, This Summer

A new foreign language teaching certification for grades 1-6 will be available at the Clarkson University Capital Region Campus in Schenectady, N.Y., this summer.

New Foreign Language Teaching CertificationClarkson has received approval from New York State to offer a Foreign Language in Elementary Schools 1-6 course, which leads to a teaching certification in Languages Other Than English (LOTE) for grades 1-6.

Educators who are certified in foreign language for grades 7-12 are eligible to take one new class at Clarkson to earn the certification for grades 1-6.

The course will start in late May at the Capital Region Campus and finish in late June.

Applications received by April 1 will be given priority as space is limited.
