Potsdam Chamber of Commerce Elects Clarkson University's Annie Harrison to Board of Directors
The Potsdam Chamber of Commerce has elected Clarkson University Associate Director of News & Digital Content Services Annie Harrison to its board of directors.
Her term began in January. Clarkson was previously represented on the board by Director of Conference and Event Marketing Jessica Carista, who completed four years of service in December.
The Potsdam Chamber of Commerce is a membership organization of about 250 businesses, which organizes events in the Potsdam community throughout the year, including the annual Potsdam Summer Festival and Fright Night.
The organization is dedicated to promoting and advancing the general welfare and prosperity of the membership and the greater Potsdam community.
Harrison has been a member of the Clarkson University Marketing & External Relations team since 2014, where she manages the University's social media presence and writes about faculty research and student achievements. She collaborates with academic and administrative groups across campus to develop the continuum of engagement for audiences on social media, and leads presentations with faculty, staff and students on how to enhance personal and professional social media identities.
Harrison graduated from Central Michigan University with a bachelor's degree in journalism and political science. She is studying for her master's degree in organizational performance, leadership and technology at SUNY Potsdam.
