Princeton Review: Clarkson University One of Nation's Best Colleges & Best Northeastern Colleges
Clarkson University has again been named one of the country's best institutions for undergraduate education, according to The Princeton Review.
The company features Clarkson in the new 2013 edition of its guidebook, "The Best 377 Colleges." Only about 15 percent of America’s 2,500 four-year colleges and three colleges outside of the U.S. are profiled in the book.
Clarkson has also been named one of the Best Northeastern Colleges by Princeton Review, which identified some of the colleges and universities that they feel "stand out as academically excellent institutions of higher learning."
"We're happy to be included in the Best Colleges book, but surveys and books don't always tell the full story," said Dean of Admissions Brian T. Grant. "Our students tell us that the best way to learn about Clarkson is by coming here for a personalized visit, and meeting our faculty and students."
"We commend Clarkson University for its outstanding academics, which is the primary criteria for our selection of schools for the book," said Robert Franek, Princeton Review's senior VP / publishing and author of "The Best 377 Colleges."
This spring, the Princeton Review also named Clarkson University one of the most environmentally responsible colleges in the United States and Canada through inclusion its “The Princeton Review’s Guide to 322 Green Colleges: 2012 Edition."
Clarkson is consistently among the schools ranked well in both the Princeton Review and U.S. News & World Report’s annual issue of “Best Colleges," where Clarkson is listed as a tier one national university. U.S. News also ranks the Clarkson School of Business Supply Chain Management Program as #15 in the nation and its engineering program among the top 100 nationwide.
Clarkson University launches leaders into the global economy. One in five alumni already leads as a CEO, VP or equivalent senior executive of a company. Located just outside the Adirondack Park in Potsdam, N.Y., Clarkson is a nationally recognized research university for undergraduates with select graduate programs in signature areas of academic excellence directed toward the world’s pressing issues. Through 50 rigorous programs of study in engineering, business, arts, sciences and health sciences, the entire learning-living community spans boundaries across disciplines, nations and cultures to build powers of observation, challenge the status quo, and connect discovery and engineering innovation with enterprise.
