Clarkson University to Again Offer Free Small Business Training

The Clarkson University School of Business will again offer free guidance to North Country businesses through its My Small Business 101 serieClarkson University to Again Offer Free Small Business Trainings.

Small-business people in the area are invited to attend four weekly two-hour sessions, which will focus on topics to increase productivity and strategically plan for future success.

Each week Marc Compeau, director of innovation and entrepreneurship, and other School of Business faculty will focus on a different topic, including Thinking Strategically, Resource Management, Marketing Management and Financial Management.

Since 2005, My Small Business 101 has provided training to more than 140 businesses.

"Last year’s program was very successful," says Compeau. "Participants told us that they received lots of practical and useful information, tools and resources. They also appreciated the encouragement and inspiration."

There is no cost for the series, which will be held at Clarkson University in Bertrand H. Snell Hall Room 213 from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6 through October 27.
