Clarkson University President Tony Collins Named Honorary Alumnus

Clarkson University President Tony Collins was surprised by alumni gathered for Reunion today, when he was named an honorary alumnus of the University.
After awards to had been presented to the alumni being honored at the Alumni Association Welcome and Awards Brunch, the tables were turned, when Alumni Association President Eric Dibble 81 presented Collins with the honor.
The text of the certificate presented to Collins read:
"Clarkson University Alumni Association gratefully awards honorary membership to Anthony G. Collins in recognition of his dedicated teaching, engaged advising, enterprising research and visionary executive leadership for over twenty-six years; his enduring commitment to the advancement of the University with his vision focused on academic advancement, international reputation, sound fiscal management and alumni engagement; the continued stewardship he has provided Clarkson throughout his career and in the various positions he has held and the continued management of the University as president as it progresses through its Evolution to Excellence; the example and high standards he sets for the Clarkson values and his assiduous efforts toward building a welcoming community for all; and his commitment to defy convention. Be it, therefore, resolved that as of this date, Anthony G. Collins be made an honorary alumnus of Clarkson University with the rights and privileges pertaining thereto."
