Clarkson Campus Dining, Students, Faculty Lend Helping Hand to Hospice Fundraiser
Clarkson University's campus dining service, students and faculty recently teamed up with Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley for their "Tastes of Autumn" fundraiser at Violi's Restaurant in Massena.
Executive Chef Tom Cruger and Campus Dining staff Sue Cappione and Casey Perry prepared and funded two of the event's entrees: chicken marsala and vegetarian lasagna.
Clarkson faculty member Floyd Ormsbee coordinated student volunteers from SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management). Chapter President Jennifer Herbst was among those who attended last year who, according to Brian Gardam, did a fantastic job and worked tirelessly serving soup and making coffee.
This is the second year in which Cruger and Clarkson have volunteered to participate in the "Tastes of Autumn."
"We are proud to have our work recognized by Clarkson's support and ... their volunteer efforts reflect well on Clarkson," said Gardam.
