National Grid USA CEO Michael E. Jesanis Elected to Clarkson University Board of Trustees

National Grid USA is a subsidiary of National Grid plc, one of the world's leading energy delivery companies operating principally in the U.S. and United Kingdom.
Jesanis is also an executive director of National Grid, and oversees the company's distributions operations in the U.S. National Grid USA distribution companies serve nearly four million electric and gas customers in New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire. Jesanis joined National Grid USA's predecessor New England Electric System in 1983. Before being named to his current position as president and CEO, he served as chief operating officer.
Jesanis earned a bachelor of science and master's degree in mathematics from Clarkson in 1977 and 1979, respectively. He also received a master of business administration degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1983. As a Clarkson trustee, he is currently serving on the Audit Committee and is vice chair of the Marketing Subcommittee.
Jesanis also serves as chairman of the board of trustees of Becker College in Worcester, Mass. He is a member of the board of trustees of the Massachusetts Taxpayers Foundation and a member of the board of directors of Jobs for Massachusetts Inc.
