Call for Student Entries for Clarkson Video & Photo Contest

Clarkson's Office of Marketing & External Relations is sponsoring a Video and Photo Contest. All current students and faculty/staff are eligible to enter but faculty/staff will not receive cash prizes.

The contest entries will be used to promote the University to prospective students. All photos and videos should be shot with that audience in mind. Entries may be used on the Web, in printed materials and in other formats. Videos and photos should also reflect the diversity of the student body.

Submissions under the video category should include a one- to three-minute video tour of any aspect of Clarkson. Examples might include "My Tour of Clarkson" (academic, activities, campus, labs, outdoors); "Day in the Life of Clarkson" (typical day from a student perspective); "How Clarkson Defies Convention;" or "How I Defy Convention." Video must be in AVI or MPEG format and submitted on DVD, CD or USB drive.

The first place winner in the video category will receive $300, second place will receive $200, and third place will receive $100.

The first place winner in the photo category will receive $100, second place will receive $50, and third place will receive $25.

There is no entry fee but each submission must be accompanied by an official entry form available at http://www.clarkson.edu/contest. All entries must be submitted to Michael Griffin, mgriffin@clarkson.edu , Box 5535 Science Center Room 308, by noon on Friday, April 14. Prize winners will be notified by April 26.

Videos or photos with objectionable content judged not to be suitable for placement on the University Web site will be disqualified. In the case of a lack of qualified entries, all prizes may not be awarded.
