WCKN Television Airs North Country Matters - A Video Journal of Ideas and Visions for our Community

WCKN Television Airs North Country Matters - A Video Journal of Ideas and Visions for our Community

The next episode of North Country Matters, presented by Clarkson University's communication (Comm427) class, is scheduled for broadcast on Time Warner Cable WCKN Channel 30, Tuesday, March 7, 2006, at 7 p.m., and will be replayed at 7 p.m. on March 14.

North Country Matters continues to be the only show on your cable system focused entirely on local issues, featuring stories about local people, produced entirely by folks living here. There is no other show like it north of the Blue Line. Regional television stations that broadcast local news and information originate in Syracuse, Watertown and Plattsburgh, offering little beyond headlines of interest or value to our community.

Other stories planned for the show include:

  - Sharing Food and Fellowship at Potsdam Presbyterian Church's monthly Community Dinner

  - Electronic Gaming that Encourages Social Interaction

  - Billiard - The Skill, the Art, and the Hustle

  - Salting and Sanding of Roads in Winter

This is the second of three episodes for the spring 2006 semester. There will be one additional new show in April. Anyone with story suggestions for future shows should contact Dan Dullea (ded@clarkson.edu ) with your ideas.
