Clarkson University will host visitors from south of the border as the Royal Mexican Players take the stage on Saturday, September 18, at 8 p.m. in Clarkson’s Cheel Campus Center. The show, which is free and open to the public, is recommended for ages 17 and up.
The Royal Mexican Players, featuring playwright and performer Alvaro Saar Rios and a band of actors from Houston, Texas, will perform “The Crazy Mexican Show,” a hilarious and highly provocative series of comical skits and monologues about the Latino experience in the United States.
Topics range from eating Mexican food in the states and spirited observations on American/Latino identity to the group’s own interpretation of Shakespeare’s classics.
