James Manaro Promoted To Senior Vice President For Finance And Administration At Clarkson University
James Manaro of Potsdam, has been named senior vice president for finance and administration at Clarkson University. Manaro had been vice president for business and financial affairs at Clarkson since 1998.
“This new title reflects Jim Manaro’s significant contributions during his time at the University,” said Clarkson President Tony Collins. “It also recognizes the key role he will play in ensuring that Clarkson adheres to best practices within the institution’s ever increasing regulatory, liability, compliance and complex legal environment.”
Before coming to Clarkson, Manaro served as vice president for finance and treasurer at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pa. for nine years. Previously, he served as vice president, institution and public finance, at the Student Loan Marketing Association (Sallie Mae); assistant to the president for finance and treasurer at Yale University; financial manager for the City and County of San Francisco; associate deputy administrator at the Environmental Protection Agency; and budget analyst at the Congressional Budget Office. He received his master's degree in public policy and administration at SUNY Stony Brook's Averell Harriman College and his baccalaureate of science degree from SUNY Stony Brook.
