Clarkson Business Students Named To Elite Alpha Kappa Psi National Academic Team
Three members of Clarkson University's chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi, a co-ed professional business student fraternity, were among a group of only 89 students nationwide named to the national All-AKPsi Academic Team sponsored by the fraternity's parent foundation.
The three Clarkson students who received this honor are Chandan Ganwani of Warsaw, Poland, a junior majoring in e-business; Patricia Perrier of Chateaugay, N.Y., a senior majoring in business and technology management; and Andrew Tanner of Voorheesville, N.Y., a senior majoring in business and liberal arts. All team members received certificates and will be recognized in the Diary, the fraternity's national publication.
The All-AKPsi Academic Team recognizes those members who maintain excellence in their academics, while also making positive contributions to their chapter, campus, and community. To be selected for the team, a student must show leadership, extracurricular participation, and a sense of responsibility while pursuing a college degree.
Alpha Kappa Psi has been a part of Clarkson University since 1958. Many members join the fraternity to enhance their business education and to improve their networking resources. The chapter conducts professional programs with both educators and businessmen. To further supplement the traditional classroom experience, there are business field trips, seminars, career activities, research surveys, and other professional events. In addition, service to the school and community is encouraged.
