Clarkson's Dana Barry of Canton Receives Apex Award For Publication Excellence

Clarkson University Center for Advanced Materials Processing (CAMP) Technical Writer Dana M. Barry of Canton has received a 2003 APEX Award for Publication Excellence.
This is the eighth time Barry’s work has been recognized with an APEX Award. Her winning entry was the CAMP Annual Report Newsletter (2001-2002). The award was based on editorial content and overall communications effectiveness and excellence. APEX Awards are sponsored by Communications Concepts Inc. in Springfield, Va.
Barry, a certified professional chemist, is the president of the Scientific Board of Ansted University, an officer for the Northern New York Section of the American Chemical Society, and a member of the Editorial Review Board for The Chemist, a publication of The American Institute of Chemists. She served as a visiting professor in Malaysia (2001), Japan (2002), and England (2003). In addition, she has authored over 90 professional publications, including five books.
Barry is also the recipient of an Outstanding Achievement Award from the Northern New York section of the American Chemical Society. Other honors include biographical listings in national and international reference publications, including Something About the Author, 1000 Great Scientists and the Dictionary of International Biography, 30th Anniversary Edition.
