Clarkson Professor Sonmez Atesoglu Profiled In New Edition Of Marquis Who's Who

Clarkson University Professor of Economics H. Sonmez Atesoglu (SOON-mez Ah-TESH-a-loo) has been selected to be included in Marquis Who’s Who in America, 2004, the preeminent biographical reference work of the highest achievers and contributors from throughout the country.
The new edition is scheduled to be published in November.
Atesoglu joined the Clarkson School of Business faculty in 1977. Prior to his appointment, he served as an economist at the International Monetary Fund in Washington, D.C. From 1987-88, he held a Fulbright Senior Professor Research Grant for a year at the Kiel Institute in World Economics in Germany. In 2001 he taught at San Diego State University.
His research interests include balance-of-payments and economic growth, defense spending and growth, and money and inflation. Atesoglu is the author of numerous articles, which have appeared in scholarly journals.
Atesoglu holds a doctorate in economics from the University of Pittsburgh.
