Clarkson To Host Business Seminar For New Start-ups And Small Business Owners

Winning Business Strategies for Challenging Times is the theme of an exciting three-day business seminar to be held March 7-9 at Clarkson University.

The seminar will present strategies that work for starting and operating a business. Topics include moving a business from concept to reality; accessing capital; avoiding pitfalls in the family business; financial management; exporting for increased profits; compensation methods; and industry/community partnerships for growth.

Through case presentations, workshops and roundtable discussions, participants will leave with a greater understanding of how to control risk, manage opportunity and reap rewards for their business and community.

Complete program information and registration forms are available by contacting the Shipley Center for Leadership and Entrepreneurship at 315-268-3811 or by visiting the Web site at http://www.clarkson.edu/letstalkbusiness. There is a 20 percent early bird discount for registering before February 15. Clarkson alumni receive an additional discount, as do government and non-profit employees.

The program is sponsored by Clarkson's Shipley Center for Leadership and Entrepreneurship and is part of the Let's Talk Business Executive Seminar Series, which seeks to add value through learning opportunities and the creation of strategic alliances among entrepreneurs.
