New Faculty Welcomed

Clarkson University welcomed 18 new faculty this fall to the institution. Among the group are 10 women.
“The excellent credentials and diverse backgrounds of the new faculty underscore that talented faculty are recognizing the strength of Clarkson's educational vision,” said Tony Collins, vice president for Academic Affairs. “We are proud to have them here.”
The following new faculty joined Clarkson this fall or earlier in the year: Maria del Mar Lopez, Civil & Environmental Engineering; Heidi Fritz, Psychology; Samantha Morocco, Physical Therapy; Kathleen Issen, Mechanical & Aeronautical Engineering; Nihal Ozcan, Psychology (visiting professor); Mary Graham, Organizational Studies; Tom Langen, Biology (arrived Spring 2000); Carol Boyer, Finance; Dmitry Garagash, Civil & Environmental Engineering; Johndan Johnson-Eilola, Technical Communications; Peter Schultz, Mathematics & Computer Science; Igor Sokolov, Physics; Ming-Ching Cheng, Electrical & Computer Engineering; Craig Woodworth, Biology; Rick Welsh, Liberal Arts; Annegret Staiger, Liberal Arts (anthropology); Wei Zhang, Accounting; and Jeanna Matthews, Mathematics & Computer Science (arrived Spring 2000).
Clarkson University has 160 faculty teaching in the schools of Business, Engineering, Science, and Liberal Arts.
