U.S. News: Clarkson One Of Nation's Best Values In National Universities
Clarkson University is one of the “Best Values” in national universities, according to the Sept. 18 issue of U.S. News & World Report. In an article titled “Great Schools at Great Prices” U.S. News lists Clarkson as one of the schools where you can expect to get the most for your money.
“We are pleased to again be ranked among the nation’s best values in education,” said Clarkson President Denny Brown. “At Clarkson we work hard to keep our education affordable while delivering the high quality that has earned our superb academic reputation. The U.S. News formula provides evidence that we are continuing to succeed in meeting this ongoing challenge.
“Higher education represents a major investment for families. It is gratifying to see this independent corroboration that Clarkson does indeed provide a great return on that investment.”
The U.S. News rating is based on a formula that compares academic quality with the net cost of attending to a student who receives average financial aid. Among the 50 top-ranked schools, Clarkson has the highest percentage of students receiving grants based on need.
Clarkson University has 2,900 graduate and undergraduate students enrolled in programs in its schools of Business, Engineering, Liberal Arts, and Science, and in its Interdisciplinary Engineering and Management program. Find out more about Clarkson at www.clarkson.edu.
