Clarkson's Barry Wins Publication Award For Fifth Straight Year
Dana M. Barry of Canton, technical writer and editor at Clarkson University’s Center for Advanced Materials Processing (CAMP), received an APEX 2000 Award for Publication Excellence for her publication of the 1998-1999 CAMP Annual Report newsletter. It is the fifth consecutive time that Barry has won this award.
The award, from Communications Concepts Inc. of Springfield, Va., was based on editorial content and overall communications effectiveness and excellence. This year’s competition yielded some 4,900 entries, with 66 awards handed out in 11 categories.
Barry is a certified professional chemist and was named International Woman of the Year for 1999-2000 by the International Biographical Centre of Cambridge, England. In addition, she is the author of teacher resource books and numerous journal features.
Barry has a B.A. in chemistry and science education from SUNY Potsdam, a Ph.D. in science education from Columbia Pacific University and an M.S. in chemistry from Clarkson.
