Potsdam High School Students Offer Free Powerpoint Workshop At Clarkson University

Potsdam High School students will offer a free class in Microsoft PowerPoint in a state-of-the-art computer lab at Clarkson University on Thursday, April 29. PowerPoint is an easy and interesting new way to present ideas to an increasingly technical society. The presentation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. in Clarkson's Snell Hall Room 216. Refreshments will be served.

Siemens, the world’s third largest company, has sponsored a yearlong business educational partnership between Potsdam High School and Clarkson University.  A team of Clarkson School of Business graduate students, Siemens professionals, and teacher Cindy Centofanti have been teaching a select group of Potsdam High School students an after school business course.  After learning several aspects of business, the students in this course have formed their own computer consulting business. This student-run and operated business will conduct the free community computer class.

Capacity is limited, so places in the April 29 class must be reserved by calling Cindy Centofanti at Potsdam High School, 315-265-2000, ext. 875, by Tuesday, April 27.
