Clarkson Professor To Speak At Mcgill University About Canadian Campaign's Attempt To Create Social Changes
Clarkson University Technical Communications Professor Brenton Faber will speak at the Department of Educational Studies at McGill University in Montreal tomorrow, March 16.
Faber's presentation, titled "The language of power relations and social change: Research and pedagogy," discusses the role he played in a Canadian election campaign and the ways in which the campaign attempted to create social changes in his community. This research is part of a larger project Faber is working on which investigates connections between language, communication, and social change.
This is Faber's first year at Clarkson. He joined Clarkson's Technical Communications Department in September and teaches courses in professional, managerial, and organizational communication.
