Students From St. Mary's School Enjoy Clarkson Golden Knights' Last Home Game
Pizza and pucks were on the itinerary when Mrs. Belt's sixth-grade class from St. Mary's School in Potsdam attended the Clarkson/Harvard hockey game on Saturday, February 27, at Cheel Arena. The Knights made sure the students had something to cheer about at their post-game pizza party by posting a 5-1 victory over the Crimson in the last regular-season home game of the year.
The sixth graders are participating in a Clarkson University School of Business Educational Partnership, sponsored by SLIC Network Solutions. Students are creating personal Web pages that will be connected to the St. Mary's School Web site. The partnership has also administered a career interest exercise, and a Career Fair is being planned for early April. Other upcoming events include computer workshops on e-mail use and how to download graphics from the Internet.
This partnership is the newest of seven partnerships administered under the auspices of Clarkson University's School of Business Partnership Program headed by Sandra Zuhlsdorf. Graduate business students Michelle Guymon (Decatur, Ill.), Chris Joanis (Boonville, N.Y.) and Amy Mucenski (Potsdam, N.Y.) are involved in the St. Mary's Partnership. As a Corporate Sponsor, SLIC Network Solutions provides financial and technical support for this partnership.
