Clarkson VP Resigns

Potsdam, N.Y. – Clarkson University President Denny Brown announced on Thursday (23 April) that Dennis T. Brown has resigned as Vice President of Institutional Advancement, citing personal reasons.

Vice President Brown has led the Institutional Advancement (IA) area for 20 months since his arrival in Potsdam. During his tenure, development revenues have increased dramatically, and Clarkson has established a number of new fund-raising benchmarks, including four commitments from individuals in access of $1 million each. His leadership has been instrumental to the early success of Clarkson's Capital Campaign that is to be publicly kicked off next fall.

In announcing Vice President Brown's resignation to the campus community, President Brown said, "Dennis' energy, experience, and strategic initiatives have created a much more capable advancement organization and expanded the personal expertise and campaign readiness of our IA staff. I am pleased that Dennis T. will continue to provide advice and counsel to me and to Clarkson as Campaign Advisor throughout the next year."
