Estey Elected Clarkson Alumni Third Vice President
POTSDAM, N.Y. -- Elmer E. "Stub" Estey III of Washington, D.C., vice president for government affairs at AT&T, was recently elected the 1997-98 third vice president of the Alumni Association at Clarkson University, in Potsdam, New York, where he is also a member of the Alumni Board of Governors.
Estey graduated from Clarkson in 1964 with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, and in 1966 completed a Clarkson master of science degree in industrial management. After serving for a short time as an instructor in Clarkson School of Management, Estey began employment with AT&T, serving in numerous increasingly responsible positions, including district engineer, division operations manager for the long lines department before taking his current position.
As a member of the Clarkson Roundtable, Estey has been a regular participant in, and has served as class reunion chair, assisted with regional Clarkson activities, and currently serves as an alumni admission volunteer. Elected to the Alumni National Executive Council in 1991 as a member-at-large, Estey has served for the last two years as the National Clarkson Fund chair.
Estey and his wife, Nancy, now reside in the nation's capital.
