Emily Popham '12
Hired By…Johnson & Johnson’s Neutrogena brand
After landing the entry job she has always wanted, Emily Popham ’12 believes she is ready to take on the real world.
A Cranberry Lake, N.Y. native, Emily was hired by Johnson & Johnson (J&J), specifically the Neutrogena brand division located in Los Angeles, California and will begin working just weeks after graduation. However, she began the process of securing her position with Neutrogena much earlier - while attending Clarkson’s annual fall Career Fair during her junior year.
“After getting an interview with J&J at the Career Fair, I was offered a co-op position with the company in New Jersey for the spring semester of my junior year,” she explains. “I networked throughout my co-op and was able to obtain another co-op with Neutrogena. While there, I expressed interest in staying with the company and everything just fell into place.”
As a global supply chain management major, she will be a materials planner working with Neutrogena’s manufacturing plant, supporting the internal manufacturing site and using her skills in knowledge in supply chain management.
“School can only prepare you so much for what the real world has in store, but I feel that Clarkson has given me the tools and resources I need to succeed in my future career,” she says.
