Graduate Application Process and Requirements
Graduate Education through the Institute for a Sustainable Environment at Clarkson University provides students with a rigorous and inspiring atmosphere while obtaining M.S., and Ph.D. graduate degrees in Environmental Science and Engineering. Please review the ISE Graduate Handbook below for complete details.
ISE Graduate Handbook is intended to assist faculty members and graduate students with operating procedures, policies, and degree requirements for the Environmental Science and Engineering (ISE) graduate degrees.
Funding is available on a competitive basis in the form of research assistantships, teaching assistantships and partial tuition scholarships.
Most graduate students live in off-campus apartments. The Institute for a Sustainable Environment (ISE) office also maintains a list of off-campus apartments. You are encouraged to make arrangements for housing prior to July of the year you plan to enter the program. Housing information may be obtained from the ISE Office at 315-268-3856 or by requesting an electronic copy of the listing by writing to email@example.com.
Career & Professional Development
The staff of the Career Development Center conducts workshops on resume preparation and letter writing, and arranges individual appointments where the student is assisted in critiquing the resume and letter. Following this process, workshops are offered on interviewing techniques, utilization of the career library, job search techniques, job trips, and decision making. Students may schedule videotaped practice interviews with one of the Center's staff members. Two career fairs are held on campus each year, attracting over 100 small and large firms looking for Clarkson graduates.
