Solid mechanics, continuum mechanics, mechanical behavior of materials, engineering materials, polymer mechanics, materials science and engineering.

Research Interests

 Mechanical behaviors of polymer fibers, thin films, microframes/microtrusses, and composites; nanomechanics of biological materials and bio-inspired materials; mechanics of carbon nanotubes, graphite, and carbon nanotube composites.
