Academic Policies
Exchange Programs
All courses must be approved before you leave. Complete the Academic Compatability Form and have it signed by those listed at the bottom of the form. Credits are transferred to Clarkson as pass/fail. Please request the exchange university to have your grades sent to the Study Abroad Office at Clarkson. It often takes several weeks to receive these grades.
Non-exchange Programs
Students are responsible for ensuring that the courses they plan to take through the non-exchange program have been pre-approved by the faculty at Clarkson using the Off-Campus Coursework Permission Forms. The Study Abroad Office will help with any questions regarding passports, visas and travel, but non-exchange students will not be included in the official study abroad rosters. Course credit will be transferred as transfer credit on a pass/fail system.
