Clarkson Transfers Its Technology to the Commercial Market

During the month of December a special ribbon-cutting ceremony took place to celebrate the official opening of ND Fusion, a division of NanoDynamics (a Corporate Sponsor of Clarkson’s Center for Advanced Materials Processing). ND Fusion will further develop technology invented at Clarkson and commercialize it. In particular, it will work closely with CAMP Professor Roshan Jachuck (an expert in the area of process intensification) to improve the efficiency of making bio diesel. CEO Keith Blakely of NanoDynamics believes this project has tremendous interest globally. Also he hopes that ND Fusion will lead (by example) other would-be entrepreneurs to create new ventures. In addition during the ribbon-cutting ceremony, CAMP Director S.V. Babu pointed out that the success of ND Fusion’s efforts will have significant economic impact on the surrounding Northern New York community.
