Industry/academia collaborations: Can universities and companies 'coalesce’?
The workshop intends to provide a forum for researchers from industry and academia where ideas, opinions, and experiences related to various aspects of the industry-university collaborations can be exchanged. The short formal presentations, delivered by four industrial and academic panelists selected from a broad scientific and geographic spectrum, will attempt to bring in focus the issues and challenges faced by the two scientific communities in trying to work together. Following the presentations, the panel members and the participants will have the possibility to discuss how these interactions can be improved in order to capitalize on the opportunities generated by today's interdisciplinary world.
