Study Abroad Exchange Home

In this Section

Let Clarkson be your launching point for a life-changing global experience. We have formal study abroad exchange agreements with over numerous colleges and universities in multiple countries. Spend a full academic year or semester living and learning in a stimulating and challenging new environment. Wherever you go, you will return to Clarkson with an enlightened new perspective on yourself and your world.

What is an exchange?
An exchange means that you don’t have to apply for admission directly to the foreign college or university. Our exchange partners agree to accept all Clarkson students who meet our academic policies for study abroad. An exchange also means that you continue to pay regular Clarkson tuition and receive Clarkson financial aid. Clarkson welcomes students from our exchange institutions to study “abroad” at Clarkson as well.

Credit & Graduation
Clarkson makes it easy to study abroad and still earn credit toward graduation. Your academic advisor can help you research the course offerings at your top choices to make sure they match your Clarkson curriculum.  When you return to Clarkson, all of the credits earned abroad will be transferred to your Clarkson transcript.

Getting Started
We encourage you to start your study abroad research early. Visit the Career Center and let us help you find the programs that best match your interests and career goals. Then attend the Study Abroad Exchange Fair and Q&A panel during the fall semester. Meet with your academic advisor and talk about the best time to go abroad (most Clarkson students choose their junior year). The Career Center can even connect you with other Clarkson students and alumni who studied at your top choices. Contact us today!
